Let's help Sakhr become a Kiwi
Sakhr Munassar came to NZ as a Rotary Scholar in 2016.  A Yemeni passport holder, he came via the United States to study a Masters in peace and conflict studies at the University of Otago.  While he was in New Zealand, the American immigration rules changed, which banned Yemeni passport holders from access to the US.  Yemen is in the grips of war so going home has become an equal challenge.
Rotary's Strategic Plan
Rotary's strategic plan sets the framework for our future, ensuring that we continue to be known as a respected, dynamic organization that advances communities worldwide.
Interplast...what is it?
Interplast, a joint Rotary, and Australasian College of Surgeons initiative begun 35 years ago, brings together teams of volunteers that have performed 26,000 operations in over 1,000 programmes across the Asia and Pacific region.
International Assembly - San Diego 2019
The big trip to International Assembly in January was just that, BIG!  It was an incredible experience, with the people being the best (and worst) part of the entire week.  Rotarians are certainly a varied lot covering a huge spectrum of all sorts of jobs, businesses, interests and characters. It was great to meet Facebook friends in the flesh, especially those who have been following me on a regular basis.

The President's Monthly Message

In my travels over the past year, I've visited many strong, vibrant clubs and districts that are transforming their communities. When I attend their meetings, I can feel the energy. When I meet their members, I can see they are people of action. And when I look at their communities, I can recognize the impact of their work.

I've also visited communities with Rotary clubs that were hardly more than social clubs. It shouldn't ever be that way. Fortunately, there's a simple approach that I believe can help revitalize any club.
